montage of young people involved in the project

Young Roots was a Bristol CSV Environment project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2004 to 2005. The project worked with young people between the ages of 13 and 19 years old to raise awareness and provide hands on experiences of Bristol's rich heritage, traditional crafts and local environment.

Young people identified which topics they were interested in; their interests directed the project. Over the 16 months that the project ran over 150 individuals took part.

Feedback from participants was very positive. The aim of this web site is to enable young people and groups working with young people to continue to access and enjoy Bristol's heritage.
